FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are rice husk pellets

Rice husk pellets are a renewable biomass fuel source, which is made from 100% compressed Ceylon rice husk. When burnt, it produces heat energy with minimum environmental damage.
Rice husk biomass pellets are rapidly gaining more attention as their use within the fuel markets are increasing.

What are Rice husk pellets used for?

Rice husk pellets are used for domestic heating purposes to generate heat in boilers to heat rooms within houses, schools, hotels, health care units, offices, factories etc.
They are also used in generating heat energy in industrial boilers, which are known to be commonly used in manufacturing, drying systems, food and drink processing, and wood product production.
It can also be used as an alternative to charcoal in BBQ machines, other commercial charcoal operations and in coal-fuel power plants, lowering energy costs.
It is also widely used for animal bedding, as it creates healthy layers of bedding that absorbs moisture, and neutralizes odors.

How are rice husk pellets made?

Production of rice husk pellets follows: rice husk compression, water moisture control, rice husk
pelletizing, pellets cooling, pellets weighing and packaging.

Rice Husk Pellets VS Coal, which is better?

The heat efficiency of biomass pellets is generally 10% lower than coal’s heat efficiency. Biomass pellets have a much shorter igniting time than coal.
Biomass pellet solid waste is way lower than that of coal, resulting in less environmental pollution.
Biomass pellets are less expensive than coal for industrial boilers.
Biomass pellets have an 8-10 times longer continuous burning time, which is plentiful for constant burning in industrial boilers.
